There was a time when all brides walked down the aisle to the traditional Bridal Chorus. Today's bride, however, has a variety of options for selecting both the ceremony music and the instrumentation to perform it. For traditional selections, recordings by acoustic guitarists, string quartets and harp soloists are currently among the most popular renditions. |
A typical ceremony has music at four intervals:
· Prelude (seating of guests and parents, 3-4 songs)
· Processional (entrance of the bridesmaids and then the bride, 2 songs)
· Interlude (optional) (lighting of the unity candle, 1 song)
· Recessional (departure of the bride, groom and wedding party, 1 song)
