Do I need one speaker or two?
It depends on the number of people at your event. For up to 50 people, one speaker may be adequate. For more than 50 people, two speakers are recommended.
Do I need a mixer?
If you just want to connect your music
device (smartphone, etc.) to a powered speaker by Bluetooth or AUX
cable, you don't need a mixer. Each speaker has its own volume and
tone controls. The JBL PartyBox can accommodate two microphones and
wirelessly link to a second PartyBox. However, if you are using
non-Bluetooth speakers and multiple music devices and microphones,
then a mixer is recommended. The Ultimate Party Package includes a 4
channel mixer.
What is the size, power and weight of the speakers?
Each speaker contains anywhere from a 6 to 15 inch woofer and 500 to 1000 watts of peak output. Speaker sizes range from 20 to 30 inches high and 20 to 40 lbs.
What Package should I choose?
The Package you choose depends on the number of guests at your event and the purpose of the rental. The Party Blast Package is perfect for dance music for up to 50 guests. Microphones can be added for speaking or Karaoke. The Ultimate Party Package is recommended for playing dance music for more than 50 guests. For speaking and just background music, the Presentation Package is recommended.
Can these speakers be used with any type of device that plays music?
Your music device (phone, laptop, tablet, etc.) must have Bluetooth capability or an AUX output to connect to the speaker or mixer. A Bluetooth connection does not require a cable. For an AUX connection, an AUX cable (3.5mm) with lightning and USB C adapters for iPhones is included with each rental package..
Are all required audio and power cables included in the rental packages?
All required audio and power cables are included with your rental. If you are using a Bluetooth connection, no audio cable is needed to connect your music device to the speaker or mixer. For an AUX connection, an AUX cable (3.5mm) with lightning and USB C adapters for iPhones is included with each rental package..
Can a typical household electrical outlet provide the power to operate the equipment?
Yes, as long as no major appliances are on the same circuit.
Will you explain how to set up and use the equipment when I pick it up?
Yes. Set up and use of the equipment will be explained at pick-up or delivery.
Am I responsible if the equipment is damaged or missing while in my possession?
Yes. If the equipment is returned damaged or equipment is missing, you will be responsible for the full replacement value.
Can I pick up the equipment the day before my event and return it the day after for the one day rental fee, and can I pickup/return on a Sunday?
Yes to both questions.
Can the equipment fit in an average size vehicle?
Most rental packages can be transported in an average size passenger vehicle.
Can I pay for the rental with cash or a check?
No. The only form of payment accepted is a major credit card. Your credit card serves as the security deposit for your rental.
Instead of a deposit, can I pay the full amount of the rental on the day of pickup/delivery?
No. A deposit is required to reserve the equipment.
Will my deposit be refunded if I cancel my rental reservation?
If you cancel your rental reservation at least 48 hours prior to your pickup/delivery date, your deposit will be refunded less a $10 processing fee. If you cancel less than 48 hours prior to your event, your deposit is not refundable.
