What is a Sweetheart Gobo?
It's an image of the bride and groom's names surrounded by a romantic heart projected onto the dance floor or a wall.
How is it made?
A graphic artist designs the image, which is then die-cut into a metal disc. The disc is inserted into a gobo projector that is mounted on a light stand near the dance floor. DJ Billy James uses the Martin PR-1 gobo projector shown above.
How large is the projected image?
The image can be 3-4 feet wide on the dance floor and 6 feet or larger on a wall.

Is the image stationary or rotating?
It can be either. A slow rotation is recommended which allows the image to be read from any location in the room.
What color is the image?
The image is created in laser sharp white light making it compatible with the colors you've chosen for your reception decor.
Why project the bride and groom's names on the dance floor?
The dance floor is a focal point of the reception area, but it's just an empty surface during cocktails and dinner. When your guests enter the reception and see your names projected on the dance floor, you will have created the "wow" factor. Your guests will realize that your reception is going to be special. Your projected names surrounded by the romantic heart embody your commitment to each other and also create a unique backdrop for your first dance.
What does the Sweetheart Gobo cost?
The complete cost is $195. This includes all artwork, fabrication and equipment set-up and use.
How do I order a Sweetheart Gobo
for my reception?
Just have DJ Billy James add the Sweetheart Gobo to your contract. Your gobo order must be placed no later than four (4) weeks before the date of your wedding.
